Hi there folks,
Well my work has now gone up to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in readiness for the MADE exhibition, from the 11th Nov through to the 27th Feb next year. In addition to my usual birds, 2 squirrels and a dragonfly will be appearing for the first time...I hope they wont get stage fright! Here is a sneak preview!

Well thats the first one over! Wirksworth festival has now come to close. I have enjoyed the experience and had some very positive comments. Also, my little birdies were v.glad of a change of scenery, they are now sulking in my studio again...not long till they go to the Yorkshire Sculpure Park. They will love it there I'm sure!

Hi everyone, I am proving to be a terrible blogger im afraid, I've just checked and my last blog was two months ago, aaargh where does the time go? Well to update you all, I have finished my degree with a very successful degree show, and I have taken part in New Designers in London. This also proved to be very successful and I have now been invited to exhibit at the Catmose Gallery in Rutland, Wirksworth Festival, and MADE at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (Yipee), I was also selected as a Young Meteor and invited to take part in this years Lustre in Nov. Links to all of these can be found on the home page of my website - http://www.deborahmiles.co.uk/index.html. This is all very exiting although i am not sure Erin agrees, she is still sleeping on a matress in her brothers room as i haven't had time to finish decorating her bedroom!

Birdie brooches?
Hi everyone, after my conversation with Lesley Beale from Lakeside Arts/Lustre, I have started to develop a range of brooches featuring my little birdies and maybe other animals such as squirrels and hedgehogs. These are made from the same recycled materials and will still portray the individual characters but on a more modest scale. Some of these will be fixed and some will have limited movement. The thinking behind this move is to produce a more affordable range allowing more people the opportunity to own my work without compromising on style and quality.
